Hi.

Just a girl, a whisk, and some counter space.

"There's nothing like a nighttime stroll to give you ideas." - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, spoken by Mad-Eye Moody

There's something insane about the Harry Potter books/franchise/obsession.  It goes deeper than what Twilight ever could.

The details are really what make this story line transition from page to real life.  And by "real life", I mean how they made it into my kitchen.  Cori and I concocted a little "magic" of our own in my food processor (a blender is definitely on my wish list for Christmas).

Smooth.  Sweet.  Creamy.  Delicious, for sure.  It's crazy good (and alcoholic!).

Best to be had with your favorite Muggle.

Frozen Butterbeer
Recipe adapted from Cook Like a Champion

The Butterbeer:

1 1/2 cups cream soda
6-8 tbsps butterscotch schnapps
2 cups ice

The "Foam" Topping

6 tbsps heavy cream
1 tbspn butterscotch schnapps

1. Blend the cream soda, schnapps and ice in your blender until slushy.  Pour into a tall beer glass/goblet.
2. In a small bowl, beat heavy cream and schapps until soft peaks start to form.  Immediately spoon on top of your frozen mixture and serve.  Makes two gloriously foamy Butterbeers that Harry would flip his broomstick for.
