Hi.

Just a girl, a whisk, and some counter space.

The weather has been back pedaling a bit lately.  Do you feel it?  Not one week ago it was closing in on 90 degrees, and on Friday I was sitting out on my porch, sipping my morning coffee, and shivering.  Who shivers in June??  Definitely not the expected temperature, but on the other hand... it was refreshing.  I grabbed my sweatshirt and headed inside to begin planning for Sunday's festivities.

I was thinking about strawberries.  Maybe some lime.  Definitely some rum.

I brainstormed for all of these things to meet with lime, have a party, and get down in a glass full of mojito goodness.  And boy was it delish!

It's too simple... I kid you not, it's so simple you'll get yourself into some MAJOR trouble once you get a hold of the ingredients.  Invite some friends over and it won't seem like trouble anymore... just fun!

Strawberries are cut up in 1/2 inch chunks, placed in an empty ice tray with a sprinkling of sugar, then filled with water and placed in the freezer.  Why the added bit of sugar?  Because once the ice melts down, it can dilute your drink... so a bit of sugar keeps a good flavor going!  Genius moments don't have to come from a place of complication.  True talk.

Here's my friend Eleni modeling the sass-factor of sipping one of these drinks.  See her sass factor?  That's what we're shooting for.  Also, we should steal that dress.  It's super sassy too.

Cori found the mojito recipe online somewhere, but she isn't around to tell me where she found it, so I'll link to one that seems pretty good.  Basically, use the strawberry ice cubes instead of regular ice, make sure you use either a muddler or the blunt end of a wooden spoon, and add extra lime juice.

And stripy straws.  Add those too.

Mojito recipe for your eyeballs.
