Haven't seen you in a while.
Yeah... it's my fault. Sorry about that.
Promotions are a funny thing. You want them, and you feel awesome getting them, but whoa man... I haven't had time to think about anything else, let alone something to bake for your enjoyment. Sure. I've baked a bit in the last two months since we've talked. But taking the time to photograph it for you has been... opportunistic.
So I'm making it up to you by posting a little nugget of what I've been up to. Not entirely food related... but it's something. I'd like to provide you with at least a smidge of a look into what I've been up to in these last 8 weeks.
We went to the cabin down in Brown County. Good friends. Good food. Good times. Totes.
I made art for our Halloween mantle display. The boarder took me... entirely too long. But it was worth it.
So then Halloween happened. That's me on the left (as a toddler in a tiara), and my maid of honor, Sarah (as Lydia from Beetlejuice). Looks like the weirdest high school friendship ever, right?
I made shrunken heads for our apple cider. You can find the recipe/instructions here. These were so awesome to have in the crock pot with the hot cider. What's even better is what they look like when you've scooped one into a cup. See below:

I made some awesome chili (and forgot to tell you about it). Yay/Whoops.
Saw Melissa Ethridge last Friday with Cori. One of the most beautiful halls I've ever seen. Melissa agreed. We're practically BFF's now. (not really, but probably)
So that's it. That's all I have for you at the moment. Of course, with Thanksgiving coming up, you know I'll have a more legit kind of post. I'm thinking about pie... What are you into?
